Here is the second part of our trip to Cape Cod in August! You can see Part 1 here.
Our last day together as a family we went to a beach called Paine’s Creek. We used to go there as kids since its a very kid-friendly beach. The tide goes very low at low tide, and you can walk out for a few miles. It proved to be fun even as an adult! During high tide, the water comes all the way up to the beach. You get the ocean water as well as brackish water that comes into a small stream. I love watching the change in the tide at different parts of the day, especially since it’s so drastic.
This is low tide at Paine’s Creek. We walked out for about a mile. The high tide comes in fast, so we had to bolt back to shore after a while!
The sunset at Paine’s Creek. I love the soft colors.
Me and Elle striking a pose! It was fun to walk along the rocks.
Our whole crew for the trip. We had so much fun together!
My mom loves taking photos in portrait mode. Can you tell?!
This day we walked around downtown Chatham. It was very hot and humid but worth it. They have lots of cute shops. We ended up getting smoothies to try and cool down.
Our last sunset at Paine’s Creek. I loved this trip with the family! It had been so long since I’d been to Cape Cod, but it was really fun and felt so familiar as soon as we got there. I loved biking the Cape Cod Rail Trail and spending the days as a family at the beach. I hope we get to go again next year!
