lazy saturday in panajachel

This weekend was a low-key one for me and Jon. While we try to take advantage of all there is to do in our region of Guatemala, sometimes we just need some time to decompress and enjoy a lazy day together. I always love grabbing a meal or riding around Pana on our scooter with Jon on the weekends. I know that when we have kids our weekends will look very different (ahem… waking up early and doing activities all day!), but for now it’s nice that the two of us can use this time to spend together.

Today was a perfectly relaxing rainy day. We hunkered down with some books, candles, and tea. And yes, I do sound like I’m 80 years old, and I’m okay with that.

Here are some photos of Panajachel from today, as well as some photos from work this week. I seriously work in one of the most beautiful places in the world.

Some photos from working in San Antonio this week. We installed a stove in a house above some onion fields.

We had a moment of sun after it had been raining all day, so everything felt really fresh and earthy.

You can see some of the fields below our house. And some of the flowers on our driveway!
